Original notes from collector: University College. The forerunner of the present University of Toronto. The building of this College was the result of vigorous dissension between the religious leaders of that day. It was first used as a students' residence, while the actual classes were held in the old Parliament Buildings on Front St. This and the following slide show the construction of the south fa├žade of the old buildings.
