Scope and Content:

Series consists of architectural drawings depicting plans, elevations, sections and details for alterations and additions, largely involving the wood interiors, the hall, and the library of the H. H. Fudger residence located at 40 Maple Avenue in Toronto. The house was originally built by Gordon and Helliwell in 1897-1898.


Series also contains 3 watercolours, including a 15 X 23 inch watercolour exterior perspective signed off as "certified by Edmund Burke, delineated by Wm. F. Sparling and rendered by Mundy" as well as an unsigned watercolour interior view of plans and elevations for a Billiard Room, which has been attributed to this series.

Burke and Horwood was a Toronto, Ontario based architectural firm which existed from 1894 to 1908 and designed a variety of buildings across Canada.
