File consists of oral history records documenting the life and career of Clive Allen (b. 1935), former Vice President and General Counsel for Northern Telecom. Interview topics include: personal background; Allied Chemical Canada Limited, 1966-1974; Northern Telecom, Vice President and General Counsel, 1974; uses of in-house counsel; size of law department at Northern Telecom; articling lawyers; major changes. Interview conducted by Christine J.N. Kates. File includes two audio cassette recordings, a transcript (57 p.), and a copy one item of correspondence outlining how the oral history would be preserved and accessed through the Osgoode Society Oral History Programme.
