File consists of oral history records documenting the life and career of David Steinberg (b. 1937), a lawyer who was appointed a Provincial Court Judge in the Family Division in 1969, later becoming a Senior Judge in 1987. Interview topics include: University of Western Ontario; University of Western Ontario Law School; articling; Partnership with Sommer, Kitchener, 1965; sole practice, Hamilton, 1966; Provincial Court Judge, Family Division, 1969; Young Offenders Act; Unified Family Court Act; Senior Judge, 1987; new Unified Family Courts, 1995. Interview conducted by Christine J.N. Kates. File includes three audio cassette recordings from a series of two interviews and a transcript with index (98 p.).
