Files consist of oral history records documenting the life and career of Reuben Bromstein (b. 1929), who was a Toronto-area lawyer later appointed as a judge in 1983. Interview topics include: communist upbringing; Central Technical High School; York University; Osgoode Hall Law School; articling; early practice; appointment as judge; Provincial Court, Civil Division; Chief Judge Doug Turner; disintegration of Civil Division; experience as a judge. Interviewer is unknown. File includes four audio cassette recordings from a series of two interviews and a transcript with index (221 p.).
