File consists of oral history records documenting the life and career of David Main (b. 1940), a lawyer who served as a judge in Family Court in 1975 and was later appointed to the Jarvis Street Court. Interview topics include: University of Toronto Law School; articling; early practice; academic life in New Zealand; Chief Judge Ted Andrews; Jarvis Street Court; select cases; Young Offenders Act; sentencing.
